📢If you were to speak from your heart about something you are passionate about

what would it be?

On Saturday, my husband, Paul was heading home from working in Ukraine, and my teens doing their thing. So after a brisk morning swim at Guildford Lido, I randomly decided to head to Speakers Corner in Hyde Park, London.

I journeyed to Waterloo with my bike on the train and navigated the cycle ways, tourists and traffic, I used an app called Kamoot to help.

Seasoned cyclists will have found this 2 mile journey a breeze, I got a bit confused, cold and disorientated at times. Some of my friends have teased me!

It was on my goal list though, to build up confidence cycling solo in London.

It also energised and amplified my Resilient Kids’ mission, as I imagined what I would say if I was to stand up and speak on a stage about education reform. Last year, Niall at the Peer Space invited me to speak about it (video below), as did Ruth Stone for Burpham Wellfest.

It was fascinating to read the history of Speakers’ Corner and look at the pics. (more HERE)

In 2019, I arranged to meet Julia Hayden, who I’d met in a Facebook group called the “Ecology of Systems Thinking” via a mutual friend called Michael Josefowich (rip), he knew we’d click. Julia wanted to speak about her beautiful “Princess Gaia” work.

Between us we had visions of a podium and people, instead we stood by a rusty railing and gathered a crowd of about 8! Julia went on to speak globally about her mission. I filed our meeting as #randomdialogues31 on Youtube. We both agreed it was cathartic and a special mum adventure day.

Yesterday helped to birth my short course “8 ways to help educators and parents shift their mindset to effectively facilitate child-led explorations” or something like that.

Would you find such a course beneficial. I seek 2 more readers/testers? Please respond to this update with a "YES". I'm aiming for the course to being less than an hour. Bite sized, pacey and fun.

By the way, Paul arrived home safely late last night and now on a mission to find his lost BA luggage.

PS I'm facilitating a Family Fun session at Solar Sisters, Guildford on Monday 4th April from 10 am to noon. Book HERE.
